Youth Creates: Umuganda

When: July 8th and 9th at 8pm

Where: 7 Stages Theatre

What:

After 5 weeks of intensive training in performance, playwrighting, and design, the teenagers participating in this year’s Youth Creates are proud to present the culmination of their work. The theme is “Umuganda,” the kinyarwandan word for “We Work Together.” The script is still being written by these amazing kids, and we can promise it’ll be full of laughter, music, dance, and some very thought-provoking insights into what it means to grow up in a world of text messaging, global terrorism, and jelly bracelets.

Cost: $10 per ticket

Notes: BE THERE DAMNIT!

Youth Creates

OKAY! heads up. this week is the eve of hell week which is next week. so in order to get all my hours in and get to rehearsals i will NOT be able to do much. (Speaking of which, thanks to Heidi’s oh so BRILLIANTLY PLANNED schedule, i have to make up some movements…. for something….. by tomorrow…. and be able to explain it…. Don’t you just love theatre?)

anyway, needless to say, this week will be ugly…. next week will be uglier…. the week after i will be working to recover at work, then the week after that i will just be recovering in general.

Pride!

So yes, i went to Pride on sunday! it was great! the parade was a hoot (what part of it i saw) and I am definently going next year. I also got a ton of great goodies, and i got to hang out with ERIC! it rocked, though i had to leave early.

I didn’t take a camera so i have no pictures, so sorry folks.

also, i was able to breifly talk to christina in a half groggy state, and so i know that she IS home. other then that though i have no clue what she is up to, but i know i will not be included due to my crazy ass schedule, which i will talk about in the next post, k?

Geforce 7

I think Nvidia’s marketing department has finally lost it.

Needless to say, I feel “Mad Mod Mike” isn’t the best person to be putting on the NewEgg Ads. They should have stuck with the scantily clad women, or at least have had made him… less… rotund….

Gravatar

I’ve added the ability to use a Globally Recognized Avatar or Gravatar. I’ll add a page explaining how to get one.

I’ve also made a nice little Icon for myself. I took the standard Tux image and did a little work on it. There is also a Larger version that is a little different. I must admit, i cheated and used photoshop on a windows machine and not the GIMP on my Gentoo box. I didn’t feel like waiting for it to finish emerging.
