I was recently invited by 2 friends within 24 hours to go see episode 3. so i have now seen it twice. here are my thoughts on it.
okay, so the movie starts out kinda light hearted, and then it gets a little creepy for a sec, then it gets lovey-dovey, followed by a series of amazing explosions and fast lightsaber battles in which anakin chops off everyone’s hands.
anyway, long story short, anakin turns into darth vader and luke and leia are born, thus completing the circle…. or starting it…. or something….
Personally, i think everyone in the movie (save yoda and the emperor) could have benefitted from a few lessons in acting. I mean seriously. everyone in the whole movie played everything so straight, that during certain points I SWEAR they had to have been reading from cue cards. it was terrible! and i was especially dissapointed by Ewan Mcgregor. he’s so pretty, and i’ve seen him do some really nice stuff, so what the hell happened?
Overall, yes it was better then the last 2. yes, it did make everything fit together. but it will never be anywhere near as good as the original.
