I’ve been working quite steadily, doing freelance gigs, and working for the occasional theatre company.

I was able to work with Georgia Shakespeare Festival on a show this fall, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I look forward to working with them again in the future.

I also Had the opportunity to help build a set for Theatre du Reve’s production of The Red Balloon. This was a very educational experience and one I won’t forget for a while.

For those of you wondering (are there any of you? I can’t tell.) my Palm Pre Plus finally kicked it to the degree that I felt very compelled to get a new phone. The speaker died, it split in half, and it was generally rather slow. After thinking long and hard, and examining my usage habits, I came to realize that phones in my possession must not have any moving parts (i.e. a sliding keyboard, a flipping out keyboard/keypad, anything swivelly, etc). I then set out looking at phones that had the features I wanted (internet, email, physical keyboard, and preferably mobile hotspot) and discovered I would have to devote myself to the cult of crackberry, or get the Motorola Droid Pro. I chose the latter since the iPhone had not yet come out for Verizon (which still lacks a physical keyboard and thereby is disqualified anyway) and it had the mobile hotspot feature, which the blackberries all seem to lack. I’ve had it for 2 months now, and with the recent port of Word with Friends to android (username: fimion), my experience with this phone has been very pleasant, though I do miss my webOS card switching.

I have been slowly pruning down my friends list on facebook. I was up somewhere in the mid 300′s and have gotten it down to 224ish. I shall continue to work at this bit by bit, because I don’t feel that I need to be facebook friends with everyone I’ve ever met. There’s only a few I see regularly and that are actually close to me, and if they need to know something, they will be told.

I think that’s all for now. Need to finish a few things. Get things in order.

I played with friends this evening. A great way to celebrate my birthday.

I just bought a Peek (http://getpeek.com) which allows me to check and send email anywhere. I’ve ordered the serial cable for it as well… so let the hacktastic fun begin!

Also I’ve signed up for Ping.fm which seems to be amazing at updating my status everywhere, all at once. which is good.

Sorry i’ve not been posting much. my life is both dull and exciting all at once. Fortunately, i have a moment to blog.

This week i’m moving back in with my parents, much to the dismay of both myself and jen brown. While I’m moving i’m also working lots of dance shows (this week is callenwolde) and i will be begin rehearsal for Essential Theatre Festival on the 1st of june.

I’ve been accepted to UNCSA and am eagerly awaiting more information from them. I have a physical scheduled for the 5th and need to get my immunization info before then.

Now that i’ve been handled…. alright, let me explain what happened…

I bought a brand spanking new Xbox 360 Arcade from Microcenter on the 26th of December. As most of you know, I’m not fond of Microsoft (Who makes the xbox) and have generally been in want of a Wii… until the price of the Xbox dropped… and it got Soul Calibur 4… and I wathed too many people play Fallout 3…. And i got Guitar Hero 4 for the xbox for christmas (which is another story).

Anyway, I finally decided to buy an Xbox, and I did. and it was… well… Heaven is not the term since I felt rather dirty for using it, but it was fun and enjoyable, and I’d reached a point where I was content with it. So the Xbox’s disc drive decided to stop working.

Well, I was pissed to say the least. I tried all of the suggestions on Microsoft’s website to get it to work and none of them worked. It was simply fucked up. That’s when things got ugly.

Not only was i pissed at my Xbox now, When I went to put in a repair request, Microsoft’s website said  that my Warranty had expired on the 7th of December… A full 19 Days before I had bought the console.

I was livid, and I sincerely apologize right now to anyone who had been in the immediate vicinity right then.  It was just so frustrating… So i put in the repair request, paid $94, made them send me a box (because like hell if i was going to spend anymore god damned money to get this thing fixed), and waited…

Fortunately I was able to still use it to play Demos, and anything downloaded onto my hard drive so it wasn’t a complete loss those couple of days before the box arrived.

the box finally Arrived, I filled out my warranty dispute form (which you have to send in with the broken console… meaning you have to pay them to see your warranty dispute… asshats), and went to go make a copy of my receipt…. and I couldn’t find it. It wasn’t near my fallout 3 receipt (which i had bought at gamestop on the same day, not Microcenter since they were… out?) and i couldn’t find it anywhere. I was in a panic. I decided I needed to look in stupid places for it, so I started with my GH4 box (which you’ll remember I got as a gift) and there it was. Thank god I had not thrown that box away.

I quickly made a copy of the receipt, stapled it to the warranty dispute, put everything in the box and shipped it off. That was the 14th of January.

Hopefully it will be here in a couple of days… seeing as how I am coming down with a cold.

Time to go clean.
